These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BeFam mobile app, the web app at app.befam.app and related services (the "Service"). The BeFam app and the befam.app website are operated by Dark Moto s. r. o., registered office: Tatranská 385/1, 059 21 Svit, Slovakia. Company ID (IČO): 50 750 496 · Tax ID (DIČ): 2120463092 · VAT ID: SK2120463092 (registered under §4 since 15 March 2019) ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using BeFam you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
BeFam is a family organization app: shared tasks, calendar, shopping lists, recipes, meal planning, a food diary, family messaging and AI-assisted features. Features may change, be added or removed as the Service evolves.
2. Accounts and families
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials safe.
- A family is created by its owner, who can invite members. Content you add to a family (tasks, events, lists, messages, photos) is visible to that family's members.
- Children may use BeFam only within a family managed by a parent or legal guardian.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to access other families' data, uploading unlawful content, reverse engineering the app, or using the Service to send spam or harmful material. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence (for example the Fam assistant, voice input, recipe import and photo-based imports). AI output can be inaccurate, so always review it before relying on it. Free accounts include a limited number of AI messages; BeFam Plus raises these limits within fair use.
5. Subscriptions and payments
- BeFam is free to use. BeFam Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) for the whole family. The price, the billing period and what Plus includes are shown before you buy.
- In the iOS or Android app, payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage and cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds follow Apple's or Google's policies.
- On the web, payments are processed by Stripe and you can manage or cancel the subscription in Settings at app.befam.app.
- After you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Deleting your BeFam account does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add to BeFam. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process and display it in order to run the Service (including processing by our infrastructure and AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy). We do not sell your data.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or at app.befam.app/delete-account. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it for breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections of the Slovak Republic and the EU.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use BeFam after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. EU consumers also benefit from mandatory protections of their country of residence.
